How to transfer your prescriptions to Caring Pharmacy

What to have ready, how an eligible transfer works, and how we help you plan your next refill.

2 min readUpdated

Start with a call

Call Caring Pharmacy at 604-553-8880 and tell us you would like to transfer a prescription. Our team can contact your current pharmacy to coordinate an eligible transfer and explain what happens next.

What to have ready

  • Your current pharmacy's name and phone number.
  • The medication names or prescription numbers, if available, and which prescriptions you would like to transfer.
  • How much medication you have left and when you expect to need your next supply.
  • Your BC Services Card or other government-issued ID and any prescription insurance details for your visit.

What a transfer means

The pharmacist will check which prescriptions are eligible and whether any additional information is needed. A transfer does not create a new prescription or add refills. If a prescription cannot be transferred, we will explain the next steps, which may include contacting your prescriber.

Plan your next refill

Please contact us before you run out. Transfer arrangements, prescription checks and product availability can affect timing. Our team will confirm when your medication can be ready and discuss pickup or eligible local delivery.

Please call for prescription enquiries. Email is for general questions only; do not send prescriptions, identification documents or personal health information by email.
